Sale of a NOVUM share package to Bio Development AG (CH)
NOVUM Das Gemüseabo is a leading organic delivery service in the Rhine-Main area, which has been supplying companies and private households in a 70km radius around Mainz-Bischofsheim as well as in regions of North Rhine-Westphalia for 20 years in a subscription model with fixed delivery rhythms. NOVUM grew strongly during the pandemic and was able to maintain profitability during the downturn in organic food in 2022. Hereby, the company represents a strong contrast to both the mostly clearly unprofitable delivery services and the organic industry in general.
Bio Development AG from Seon, Switzerland is a holding of companies from the organic sector from Germany, Switzerland and Italy. It would like to further roll out NOVUM's successful concept and, to this end, has taken over a share package held by private investors, thereby becoming the majority owner of NOVUM.
