The Planton analytical laboratory becomes part of the Eurofins Group – securing the future through a strong partnership
The shareholders of Planton GmbH have sold their shares to the internationally active Eurofins Group as part of a strategic company succession.
Planton, a renowned and ISO 17025 flexibly accredited analytical laboratory based in Kiel, is one of the leading providers of testing and analysis services in the areas of food, animal feed and seeds. The company has a particularly high profile in the analysis of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) – a field in which Planton sets standards worldwide.
With the integration of Planton, Eurofins, the global market leader in laboratory analysis, is strengthening its GMO expertise in a targeted manner. The aim is to further develop Planton’s GMO services in the long term.
The Kiel site will not only be fully retained – it will even be expanded. The newly constructed laboratory building and the entire experienced Planton team form the basis for further growth under the Eurofins umbrella.
