ISS takes over German facility services for Vattenfall

In one of Germany's largest outsourcing projects in 2014, Vattenfall GmbH put out to tender a long-term contract for the provision of all infrastructure facility services in Germany. The contract involves the transfer of around 500 employees to two companies.

Our client ISS Facility Services GmbH prevailed against German and international competitors in a multi-stage European tender process and was awarded the contract. Since 1 January 2015, Vattenfall's approximately 20,000 German employees have been receiving services in the areas of maintenance & repair, cleaning, catering, security, fleet and document management from ISS as part of a GMP model (guaranteed maximum price).

In addition to VSG GmbH, which previously managed facility services within the Vattenfall Group, the former Vattenfall joint venture TeGeMa Gesellschaft für technisches Gebäudemanagement mbH was acquired. It is to be significantly expanded in the future to strengthen ISS's profile in technical facility services in eastern Germany.

In addition to taking on project management, ConsusPartner supported ISS in this process primarily in the areas of financial planning, bid structuring and traditional M&A tasks.
