The Gegenbauer Group and Apleona join forces to collectively expand their position as leading providers in the field of integrated FM services
The two leading facility management service providers in Germany, the Gegenbauer Group and Apleona, are merging their operational activities in a newly founded company. This company will in future operate under the umbrella brand Apleona and generate sales of more than EUR 3.5 billion with more than 40,000 employees throughout Europe. The complementary positioning of the two companies in terms of regions, depth of services and competencies will create a leading provider of integrated FM services in the DACH region.
Werner Gegenbauer welcomes the merger of the two companies as an ideal solution for the future of the Gegenbauer Group, especially for its 18,000 employees. After the transaction has been completed, the existing group of shareholders of the Gegenbauer Group will continue to be involved in the new company.

With approximately 18,000 employees, the Gegenbauer group of companies generates annual revenues of nearly EUR 900 million, which are divided equally between technical and infrastructural FM services.
ConsusPartner acted as the exclusive M&A advisor to the Gegenbauer Group during the entire transaction process.
The transaction is still subject to clearance by the antitrust authorities and is expected to be completed in summer 2023.
