ConsusPartner advises Energie AG Oberösterreich on the sale of its German electricity business to GETEC ENERGIE GmbH
Energie AG is a fully integrated energy and services group based in Linz. In the business customer segment, corporate customers are supported with individualised and modern energy solutions. As part of the realignment of its business activities, Energie AG has decided to withdraw from the German electricity market for corporate customers and to sell its German sub-portfolio. In a competitive bidding process, GETEC emerged as the successful buyer.
GETEC ENERGIE is an energy services and supply company based in Hanover and the sustainability specialist within the GETEC Group. It offers its customers sustainable energy services and, among other things, a platform for market access, providing all processes in the energy market as a service – from balancing group management to market communication and billing to customer service. In connection with the consolidation of the German energy market, the company has acquired several energy supply companies and their portfolios in recent years.
